What are the Benefits of Tea Tree Essential Oil
- Tea tree oil possesses antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antifungal properties. A person can treat acne, athlete's foot, contact dermatitis or head lice using tea tree oil.
- Experts consider tea tree oil to be safe as a topical treatment, and you can apply it directly to the skin on a daily basis. When applied to the skin in its pure (100% oil) form, tea tree oil seldom causes irritation. You can also dilute tea tree oil with a carrier oil such as macadamia oil or sweet almond oil
- Used in aromatherapy, the calming fragrance of Tea Tree Essential Oil has demonstrated its ability to naturally support and boost immune system health and fight infections, as it diminishes the detrimental feeling of stress, which facilitates illness.
- Tea Tree oil blends well with Bergamot, Eucalyptus, Grapefruit, Juniper Berry, Lavender, Lemon, Marjoram, Nutmeg, Pine, Rose Geranium, Rosemary and Spruce essential oils.
- Add Tea Tree to a spray bottle of white vinegar or distilled water to combat mustiness in a warm, steamy bathroom.
- To use this essential oil for eczema, mix two drops with an equal amount of lavender oil, along with two teaspoons of jojoba oil. You can use this daily to help cleanse your skin and lessen redness and irritation.
- Researchers have compared tea tree oil, lavender oil, peppermint, and DEET. On its own, tea tree oil was the most effective treatment tested. Tea tree oil and peppermint appeared to be most useful for repelling lice.
- Soak a cotton ball in the apple cider vinegar.
- Add a few drops of tea tree oil.
- Use tape to secure the cotton ball to your skin tag.
- Leave in place for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Rinse the area with soap and water.
- Repeat up to three times per day.
